The farming community in India has long been facing several challenges, leading to low returns and low-income levels. On the other hand, reaching out the unreached is also becoming a challenging task for Extension personnel. Hence training dedicated gross root level extension functionaries on various Extension techniques that can be employed to overcome socio economic barriers in reaching out farmers is the need of the hour. The online training programme was organized at EEI, Hyderabad In hands on training Breakout sessions were made in which very good interaction was evoked on the Innovative extension techniques to address SE challenges of farmers During inauguration, the chief guest of the programme Director, EEI attended and said that Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and waste management are the two important turbulences in India these days. He requested participants, by the end of the training, to come up with very practical Extension techniques to overcome SE challenges of farmers. During valediction, Dr.M.Jagan Mohan Reddy, Director, EEI valediction and informed participants that social, economic, financial and human capitals play a key role in implementation of technologies by farmers. He further added that Returns on Investment is the most sought criteria for evaluation, hence he said that all participants should transfer the training learnings to farmers at the earliest.

The feed back of participants, Pallavi, AO, Telangana indicated that she wanted to try the concepts of Navadhanya cultivation and incorporation and Rapid biodecomposer explained in Newgen Extension technologies for dissemination of low cost technologies in farmers fields. Celine, Dairy officer, Kerala said that FPOs class is very useful for them as they are planning to start FPO in their place for the first time. The no of trainees attended programme are 40 representing Dept. of State Agri. University, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture and Horticulture represented by Telangana, AP, TN and Karnataka, Kerala The programme was coordinated by Dr.R. Vasantha, Professor. Cost of the programme was Rs.21,400.00.
