National Youth Day or Rastriya Yuva Diwas was celebrated at Agricultural College, Adilabad on 12.01.2024. At the outset the Associate Dean, Dr. Sreedhar Chauhan welcomed the teaching, non-teaching staff and students. Floral tributes were offered to Swami Vivekananda by the Associate Dean, Dr. Sreedhar Chauhan followed by the teaching faculty, Dr. K. N. Yamini, OISA, Dr. G. Anitha, Associate Professor, Entomology, Dr.M. Suresh, Assistant Professor, Soil Science, non- teaching staff and students. The Officer Incharge of Student Affairs, Dr. K. N. Yamini enlightened the gathering on the importance of National Youth Day and teachings of Swami Vivekananda for Youth of our country.
The address had important messages from Swami Vivekananda that students should always follow for betterment of themselves and contribute to growth of the Nation. This was followed by brief messages about Swami Vivekananda by Dr. G. Anitha, Associate Professor, Entomology and Dr.M. Suresh, Assistant Professor, Soil Science to inspire the students. Three girls and one boy students also spoke about the significance of the occasion. Following this, the Associate Dean, Dr. Sreedhar Chauhan gave a detailed talk about Swami Vivekananda and need to imbibe his teachings by students and follow his path which will help them not only build their character but also help them achieve their goals in life. The programme ended with the vote of thanks presented by the Officer Incharge of Student Affairs, Dr. K. N. Yamini.
