The two day Annual Action plan workshop for Krishi Vignana Kendras (KVKs) of Telangana State for the year 2023-24 has begins on 19-04-2023 at the conference hall of Extension Education Institute, Rajendranagar. Dr R.K Samantha, Former Vice Chancellor of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV), Mohanpur, West Bengal has attended as guest of honor for the inaugural session. Dr Shaik N.Meera, Director, ATARI (ICAR), Zone – X, Hyderabad had delivered the key note address. While speaking at the inaugural session, Dr Samantha, had advised the KVKs subject matter specialists with regards to the need of work commitment in transfer agricultural technologies to the farming community. He said that, every KVK should be function like mini agricultural university or rural agricultural university. Dr. Shiek N.Meera has delivered the key note address. He said that, in a coming years a radical transformation shall be bring into the activities of KVKs in the zone –x of southern states. The functional reforms will also be taken up in demo units, digital extension, on farm trials (OFTs), field level demonstrations (FLDs), and training programs etc,. Dr V Sudharani, Director of Extension, PJTSAU has delivered the welcome address. Dr M. Venkatramana, Director of Research, PJTSAU, Dr Mahender, Director of Extension, veterinary university, Dr Kiran Kumar, Director of Extension, and Horticultural University was also spoke on the occasion. In this two day workshop an annual action plan for KVKs of Telangana state will be prepared by the programme coordinators, subject matter specialists after having the elaborate discussions on various activities of KVKs. Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University and Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Hyderabad has jointly organizing this two day workshop.
