The Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, hosted a highly engaging virtual workshop titled ‘Exploring Agribusiness Insights with Case Studies in India’s Agricultural Sector.’ The event brought together a full capacity audience of 100 participants from the university and other institutions for a deep dive into the evolving field of agribusiness in India.

The session was led by Dr. Amritesh, a distinguished member of the faculty in Management at IIT Ropar, Punjab. Dr. Amritesh delivered an insightful presentation on ‘Agribusiness in India: Types of Agri-Start-ups and Agri-Process Innovation.’ His talk centered on the emerging trends within the agribusiness sector, particularly focusing on innovative business models and startups revolutionizing the industry. A key highlight of the workshop was the use of the case study method to explore the business model of the new startups. Dr. Amritesh utilized this real-world example to illustrate various aspects of agribusiness operations, encouraging participants to engage in discussions and explore potential strategies and solutions related to the case. The workshop was marked by its interactive nature, with active participation from attendees, including students from the College of Agribusiness Management at Bihar Agricultural University. The exchange of ideas and perspectives fostered a rich learning environment, providing valuable insights into the practical challenges and opportunities in agribusiness. Today’s workshop not only provided a comprehensive understanding of agribusiness innovations and case study methodologies but also facilitated a meaningful dialogue among future agribusiness leaders. The insights gained from Dr. Amritesh’ sexpartite, and the case study discussions will undoubtedly contribute to the participants’ academic and professional growth in the field of agribusiness.

The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. J.N. Srivastava, Director of Students Welfare and Convener of the workshop. Dr. Srivastava emphasized the importance of such workshops in bridging theoretical knowledge with practical insights, setting a positive tone for the discussions that followed. Dr. A.K. Singh, Director of Research at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, served as the Chairman of the workshop.
