As many as 48 rural women participated in the monthly training camp of women’s wing of PAU Kisan Club. The camp was organized at the Skill Development Centre, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU).
The Coordinator of the club Mrs Kanwaljit Kaur shed light on the significant contributions made by PAU to the self-reliant journey of farm women. “It is important for women to unveil her talent, utilize her spare time and make a financial contribution to sustain their livelihoods,” she added.
Mrs Jaswinder Kaur, member of women’s wing, gave demonstrations on the preparations of sweets for the festive season such as coconut laddoo and kaju pinni.
Expert Dr Prerna Kapila demonstrated the making of decorative candles and proposed a vote of thanks.
