Objective: To encourage and aware faculty members and students towards IP and technology commercialization.
National Agricultural Innovation Fund (NAIF) – Institute Technology Management Unit (ITMU) and Agri Business Incubation (ABI) Centre, organized a “Workshop on IPR and Technology Commercialization” for students and faculty members on 15th May 2023, from 2.30 – 4.30 pm. A total of 60 faculty members and students participated in the program. Dr. A.K. Balange (Officer-in-charge, ITMU & PI – ABI) & Pr. Scientist, FRHPHM welcomed all the guests and briefed about the program. The program was preceded by Dr.Ravishankar C. N. (Director, ICAR – CIFE), where he urged scientists and students to develop appropriate technologies which can be absorbed by the community and by protecting
IP everyone could earn money. Due to globalization rate of commercialization is increasing, hence IP protection is very important for the inventors. A guest lecturer on “Indian Copyright Law and Implications for Research Institutions” was delivered by Dr. Ashwini Siwal, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, India. This was followed by a guest lecture of Dr. Vikram Singh, IPTM Unit, ICAR, New Delhi, on “Importance of IPR in research and technology commercialization”. Where he motivated students and faculty members for filling patents and promoted entrepreneurship development. A vote of thanks was given by Dr. Gauri M.H., RA – ITMU, where she thanked guest faculty Dr. Ashwini Siwal and Dr. Vikram Singh, Director ICAR-CIFE, ITMU & ABI members, all the faculty members and students.
