ICAR IIHR conducts entrepreneurship training on ‘Mushroom spawn production and cultivation’ on 6 15 May 2026

An entrepreneurial training program on Mushroom spawn production and Mushroom cultivation was organized by Mushroom Lab, Division of Crop Protection on 6-15May 2026. A total of 42 entrepreneurs including 19 women  from the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Delhi, West Bengal and Odisha attended the training.  There was a great diversity among the trainees with regards to educational qualification which ranged from Matriculation, intermediate, graduates, post graduates. The group was given advanced end to end hands on training on various aspects of mushroom spawn production, mushroom cultivation, mushroom processing and value addition, mechanization and energy management in mushroom farms, ancillary activities associated with mushroom industry and utilization of mushroom technology as a social enterprise.
