ICAR and IWMI Sign Five-Year Strategic Work Plan to Advance Climate-Resilient Water Management

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Sri Lanka, signed a comprehensive Five-Year Strategic Work Plan (2026–30) to strengthen bilateral scientific research collaboration, policy integration and climate-resilient agricultural water management.
The Work Plan was signed by Dr M. L. Jat, Secretary, DARE and Director General, ICAR, and Dr Mark Smith, Director General, IWMI, today at the NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi.
The strategic Work Plan aims to foster collaborative research and strengthen knowledge-based approaches for enhancing water resilience in agriculture, with a focus on advancing scientific cooperation and supporting policy integration in agricultural water management.
Senior officials from ICAR and IWMI were also present during the signing ceremony.
