The University Library celebrated the birth anniversary of Padmashree Dr. Syali Ramamrit Ranganath, the father of library science in India, as Library Day on 12 August 2024. On this occasion, a brief program was organized in the University Library Auditorium in which all the officers and employees of the University Library participated and garlanded the picture of Dr. Ranganath and offered flowers to him. Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, Assistant Librarian, elaborated on his personality and achievements. There was a detailed discussion on his contribution in the context of library science in India in which Dr. Neena Singh and Dr. D. P. Singh and Mr. L.P. Kandpal, Library Assistant presented their views. The program was chaired by Officer-in-Charge, University Library, Dr. Ashutosh Singh, sent his best wishes to everyone on Library Day and assured that while leading the University Library team, he is committed to the progressive development of the University Library with the cooperation of all. The program was conducted by Dr. K.P. Saxena, Deputy Librarian. All present were thanked by Dr. K.P. Saxena, Deputy Librarian for making this event a success.
