The Green Club and the NSS unit, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar has organized Haritha haram Programme on 27.09.2023 at the Farmer’s Hostel and surrounding areas of Mazid. The programme was graced by esteemed Registrar Dr.M.Venkat Ramana. Dr.Seema, Dean of Agriculture, Dr. J. Satyanarayana, Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. C. Narendra Reddy Associate Dean, Dr.Venkataiah, Sheotaj Ex-servicemen, Head of the Departments, Senior faculty, teaching and non-teaching staff, students attended the programme. The dignitaries created awareness on the importance of planting trees and fruit plants which increases the green cover, rejuvenates degraded forests and ensures more effective protection of forests and intensive soil and moisture conservation. A total of 250 saplings of different fruit crops namely Mango, Jack fruit, Jammun, Amla, Guava, Tamarind were planted were procured from Sustainable Green Initiative an NGO organization. The students, NSS Programme officers have actively participated in the programme.
