Regional Research Centre, ICAR-CIFA, Vijayawada organized one day awareness programme on “Scientific farming and Kishan Mela-2024” under SCSP Scheme at Kuchipudi village, Bapatla District, Andhra Pradesh on 5 March 2024. Dr. Chaudhari Ajit Keshav, Scientist, RRC of ICAR-CIFA, Vijayawada has extended warn welcome to the all the guest persons and participants of the programme. Dr. Ramesh Rathod, Sr. Scientist and Scientist-In-Charge RRC of ICAR-CIFA, Vijayawada has given inaugural address and enlighten about the role of awareness programme and Kishan Mela to enhance the freshwater aquaculture production and productivity.

Later on Smt. V. Lokeshwari, Mandal Agriculture Officer, Dr M. Nageswara Rao, Asst. Director, Animal Husbandry and Diarying and Shri. B. Saida, Asst. Director of Fisheries addressed to the participants with their activities and Government schemes. During this programme, Regional Research Center of ICAR-CIFA, Vijayawada, District Agriculture Department, District Animal Husbandry Department, District Fisheries Department, Red Sea Aquarium, Tenali, Harshika Laboratories, Mangalgiri and Aramadala Ratna Singh fish farm society, Kuchipudi were showcased their activities, products and schemes through exhibition stalls. Total 300 numbers of participants belongs to SC community were participated in the programme from in and around villages of Kuchipudi. During the programme, technical publications in regional language and cap with CIFA logo were released by Guest. The concluding remark about awareness programme on scientific fish farming cum Kishan Mela-2024 was given by Dr Ramesh Rathod, Sr. Scientist and SIC, RRC of ICAR-CIFA, Vijayawada. At last vote of thanks proposed by Dr Chaudhari Ajit Keshav, Scientist, RRC of ICAR-CIFA, Vijayawada.
