In a dedicated effort to foster cleanliness and hygiene, the Department of Zoology, PAU embarked on the National Campaign ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa,’ from September 26, 2023, to October 2, 2023, under the guidance of Dr Tejdeep Kaur Kler, Principal Ornithologist & Head, Department of Zoology, PAU.
Led by a team of dedicated individuals, including Dr B K Babbar, Dr Nisha Vashishat, Dr Manoj Kumar, Dr Rajwinder Singh, Dr Navdeep Kaur, and Sh Manjit Singh, the cleaning initiative extended across various crucial areas such as the Animal Physiology Lab, Natural History Museum, Ornithology unit, Rodent labs, Animal house, FIST lab, and the department’s offices.
The campaign garnered immense support from students, faculty members, and other staff. Laboratories and offices bore witness to an inspiring volunteerism surge, with students and staff members enthusiastically participating in the cleaning drives.
