Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mansa organized a village level awareness camp at village Alisher Kalan regarding the proper management of paddy stubble. At the beginning of the camp, Dr. Gurdeep Singh, Deputy Director, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mansa, during his speech informed the farmers about Krishi Vigyan. Appealed to make maximum use of the facilities available at the centre. He shared detailed information about the surface seeder method to the farmers and said that with this method wheat can be sown with an expenditure of only 700-800 rupees. Through this method, due to the straw layer remaining in the field during sowing, weeds grow less and bad weather does not affect the wheat crop. During this camp, he also encouraged the youth to take up agricultural support businesses. Mr. Alok Gupta, while sharing information about stubble management, shared information about PAU Smart Seeder, Surface Seeder, Happy Seeder and other machinery and shared the benefits of managing stubble in the field. For wheat sowing, use seed rate of 45 kg and DAP of 65 kg per acre. Along with this, he said that Krishi Vigyan Kendra provides machinery for straw management to the farmers at a very low cost. Dr. Ajay Singh, Assistant Professor (Animal Science) uses paddy straw as animal feed and bedding material in dairy. Explained how to use More than 70 farmer heroes participated in this village level camp and the questions of the farmers were answered satisfactorily by the experts. On this occasion, agricultural literature was also made available for the convenience of farmers.
