Agro Tech Plant, a dynamic startup under the PAU- Punjab Agri-Business Incubator (PABI), has unveiled the Apple Catcher, a groundbreaking machine designed to revolutionize apple harvesting. Led by the innovative Ishfaq Ahmed Wani, this startup aims to enhance efficiency and reduce labour costs in apple orchards.
The Apple Catcher is a versatile and portable machine capable of catching, carrying, and collecting apples with remarkable efficiency. Engineered to operate around trees in high-density, medium-density, and traditional planting systems, this low-cost innovation is a game-changer for apple farmers. The machine can store up to 110 kg of apples, offering the industry a practical and time-saving solution.
Dr S.S. Gosal, Vice Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), praised the startup’s ingenuity, stating, “The Apple Catcher by Agro Tech Plant showcases our young entrepreneurs’ innovative spirit and dedication. This machine addresses a critical need in the apple farming industry, making harvesting more efficient and cost-effective. Dr T.S.
