In collaboration with its Alumni Association, the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (COAE&T), PAU, organized an insightful workshop on the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Programme for Ph.D. Research Scholars and PG Students at Jacob Hall, PAU, Ludhiana, on February 3, 2025.
The session featured Mr. Vishal Khanna, Joint Director of BISNET, Innovation, Science & Technology Commercialization Division, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce, and Industry (FICCI), as the keynote speaker. Mr. Khanna delivered an engaging lecture, shedding light on the numerous benefits of the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Programme, including details on the application process, selection criteria, guidelines, and industry partnerships. He also highlighted a significant update from the recent budget announcement, which increased the number of fellowships under this prestigious scheme to 10,000.
Over 100 M.Tech./M.Sc students, PhD research scholars, and faculty members from PAU attended the workshop.
Dr Manjeet Singh, Dean of COAE&T and Chief Guest, commended Mr Khanna for his insightful session and appreciated the Alumni Association for organizing this highly relevant workshop. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in equipping students with valuable knowledge about fellowship opportunities and encouraged them to pursue such programmes actively.
Dr Preetinder Kaur, President of the Alumni Association, expressed confidence that PAU students would greatly benefit from the session and make concerted efforts to secure this prestigious fellowship in future years.
The event concluded with the felicitation of Mr Vishal Khanna by the Alumni Association and the Dean, COAE&T. The programme was conducted by Dr Gurnaz Gill, who also extended a vote of thanks to the speaker and the attendees.
