On February 27, 2024, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Amritsar, organized a training camp on natural farming in Bhagwan Village, Block Majitha, as part of the ‘Out Scaling of Natural Farming through Krishi Vigyan Kendra’s’ project.
Dr Astha, Associate Professor (Plant Protection), provided comprehensive insights into the core principles and practical applications of natural farming. She covered various components of natural farming, offering detailed information to the participants.
Dr Rajan Bhatt, Associate Professor (Soil Science), emphasized the importance of farmyard manure, vermiculture, and earthworms in natural farming practices. He highlighted their role in maintaining soil health and fertility.
The camp also featured practical demonstrations on preparing Neem Astra, Beej Amrit, and Jeev Amrit, providing hands-on learning experiences. Literature on these topics was distributed among the fifty participating farmers and farmwomen.
The training camp received positive feedback from the participants, who found it informative and helpful in addressing their queries.
