A 5-day training was organized on the cultivation of Volose Mushrooms at Krishi Science Center of Punjab Agricultural University, Gurdaspur. In which 38 students from district Gurdaspur participated and received training.
In this training program Dr. Yamini Sharma, Assistant Professor (Fruit Science) gave detailed practical information to the learners about the importance of mushrooms, cultivation of different mushrooms in summer and winter season and prevention of diseases so that they can take up mushroom cultivation as a subsidiary business. Director of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gurdaspur Dr. Sarabjit Singh Aulakh advised the trainees to take up mushroom cultivation with enthusiasm so that their agricultural income can increase.
