ICAR-NBSS&LUP, Regional Centre, Udaipur organized two Kishan Ghosties at Jhadol and Bassi villages of Udaipur and Salumbar districts on 22/09/2023. First Kishan Ghosty was arranged in morning session at Jhadol village and second was arranged in Bassi village in the afternoon session. In these Ghosties more than 200 farmers belonging to SC community were participated and benefitted. Lectures were delivered by the scientists of Bureau during the events for maximization of crop production and sustainable utilization of natural resources. Two progressive farmers were identified on the basis of effective adoption of legume and vegetable production advisories and also generating of additional income for their livelihood security. Agricultural inputs were distributed among the beneficiaries for their day to day use. Pick axe was distributed to 100 persons, solar lamp to 100 persons, Tirpal to 40 persons, sprayer machine to 40 persons and R.O. water filters to 25 persons. Local leaders of the Grampanchayats were involved to ensure that the benefit goes directly to needy and underprivileged persons of SC community. The inputs were distributed by Dr. B. L. Mina, Head of Regional Centre, supported by Dr. R. L. Meena and Mr. Sumit Sindhu, AAO. This event was organized and coordinated by Dr. R. P. Sharma, Sr. Scientist. The event was ended with vote of thanks and refreshments.
