ICAR- National Institute for Plant Biotechnology, celebrated its 5th Foundation Day today at B. P. Pal Auditorium, IARI Campus, New Delhi.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Chairman, Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board, Dr. T. Mohapatra, Chairperson, The Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights, Dr. T. R. Sharma, DDG, Crop Science, ICAR, Dr. D.K. Yadava, ADG, Seeds, ICAR, Prof. Sudhir Kumar Sopory, Former Vice Chancellor, JNU, were present in the programme.
Dr. Santanu Bhattacharya, Director, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Tirupati, delivered Prof. V. L. Chopra Foundation Day Lecture on “Use of Alternative Technology for Sustainable Pest Control in Crops and Sensor Design for Agriculture.”
The former directors of the institute also attended the function.
