An interface meeting was organized between the scientists and students of ICAR- IVRI Mukteswar Campus and ICMR- National Institute of Malaria Research on 28-04-2023. Dr. Ashok Kumar Mohanty, Joint Director ICAR-IVRI Mukteswar Campus welcomed the delegates to the interface meeting. Dr. Kailash Pandey (Scientist F) and Dr. Saumyananda Chakraborti (Ramalingaswami Fellow, Scientist D, DBT) from ICMR-NIMR New Delhi) and eleven students from ICMR-NIMR New Delhi presented their current research findings on control of malaria parasite and mosquitoes by various natural products and phytochemicals from different sources including Himalayan Medicinal Plants (HMPs) and marine flora and fauna. Discussion was conducted on possibilities of controlling human and animal pathogens with intervening research areas like natural products, natural chemicals, synthetic peptides, proteomics, and structural biochemistry etc. The possibility of collaborative research among the scientists of the two institutional was also deliberated upon. Dr. Amol Gurav and Dr., Dr. Amir Kumar Samal, and Dr. Nitish Singh Kharayat (Scientists, ICAR-IVRI Mukteswar Campus) coordinated the meeting. Dr. B.
