ICAR-CIRCOT Mumbai has organized a 3 days training on, ‘Advanced Characterization of Cotton Quality and its Spinning & Dyeing Performance’ during 25-27th September 2023. This training was conducted under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) scheme of ICAR. This was a specialized training program conducted for scheduled caste community candidates to upgrade their skill and expertise in post-harvest processing of cotton. This training was attended by total 9 participants from different colleges across the country. During the training, the participants were taught about various aspects of recent advancement in fibre quality analysis, spinning technology, dyeing and business incubation. The valedictory session was chaired by Dr. S.K. Shukla, Director, Dr. Sujata Saxena (Head, CBPD), Dr. D.M. Kadam (Head, ETTD), Dr. A.S.M. Raja (Head, QEID) and the training coordinators. The certificates were distributed to the participants and the feedback was taken for further improvement in the course curriculum.
