A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Kolkata, and West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited, Kolkata, today for executing Proof of Concept on plant disease detection and soil quality analysis using artificial intelligence and machine learning Techniques to provide momentum for developing farmer-friendly system.

ICAR-ATARI, Kolkata signs MoU with WEBEL, Kolkata for AI/ML based farmer friendly system

Dr. Pradip Dey, Director, ICAR- Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Kolkata and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Das, Managing Director, (WEBEL), Kolkata, signed the MoU on behalf of their organization’s.

The organization’s will use mobile phone apps and the camera for detection and recommendation as per the MoU. The partnership between ICAR-ATARI and WEBEL will help in co-operation of scientific research and academic activities, organizing joint research projects under Intramural research /Extramural research and any other academic activities that are of mutual benefits to both the institutions.
