Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized Field day on “HDPS Cotton” under special project on Cotton, ICAR-CICR titled “Targeting technologies to agro-ecological zones-large scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton productivity” under NFSM 2023 at Bayyaram Village, Bayyaram Mandal, Mahabubabad district dated on 09.11.23. Field day organized at Sri Gandrathi Bhaskar Reddy’s HDPS Cotton field. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) Explained about, ICAR-CICR Special Project on cotton objectives & importance of HDPS cotton project in the district. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal explained, the concept of HDPS Cotton, sowing time, advantages, machine sowing through pneumatic planter, importance of application of growth regulator on time, major advantages with HDPS Cotton, importance of high density cotton in light soils in the district. Dr.E.Rambabau SMS (Horticulture) explained about present situation of horticulture crops in the district and IPM Management in Chili crop. Sri Gandrathi Bhaskar Reddy farmers explained about his experiences on raising HDPS Cotton and he gave the positive feedback on the concept. In this Programme and 123 farmers from Bayyaram Mandal and 06 no. of RAWEP Students participated.
