ABOUT US
ICAR-Central Avian Research Institute (CARI) was established in 1979 at Izatnagar, Bareilly (UP) under the aegis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to provide all-round support to the growth of Poultry sector. Since its inception, this institute has been playing an important role by providing need based R & D support for diversified poultry production, processing and marketing, apart from Post-graduate education, training and technology transfer activities for augmenting productivity, production and profitability of the Indian poultry sector. The Institute has developed 55 technologies, attained 7 patents, registered 6 designs, one semen diluent and 4 trademarks. With concerted research and extension efforts, the institute has played a key role in achieving the self-sustainability in diversified poultry production.
ABOUT THE KARYASHALA SCHEME
KARYASHALA is an effort by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India via Accelerate Vigyan to improve research productivity of promising PG and Ph.D. students from universities and colleges through high end workshops on specific themes. This program aims to provide opportunities to acquire specialized research skills.
ABOUT THIS KARYASHALA
This program has been designed to improve the efficiency and knowledge in basic
and applied research of the life science researchers. This program aims to expose the PG/Ph.D researchers to advanced instrumentation to build and strengthen their confidence and skills in using high end equipment for their research work. Exposure visit to poultry farms and labs.
