NSS Unit of College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad conducted cleanliness drive “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta” under ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Campaign paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi at premises of Budvel railway station and NIRD, Rajendranagar Chowrasta on 01.10.2023 from 10 AM to 11AM. NSS programme officers Dr.Shaik Ameer Basha, Dr.K.Sumalini, Dr.K.Aruna and Dr.P.Prashanth organized the event involving Sri.K.Girish Turup, Station Master, Budvel railway station, 200 NSS volunteers GHMC staff and public under the guidance of Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar and cleared the garbage at these two public places.
An awareness rally was also conducted to sensitize the public regarding cleanliness, and single-use plastic and biodegradable material for making clean India.
