DAATTC, Karimnagar and RAWEP students organized Rythu Sadassu and Agricultural Exhibition and Farmers Scientists Interaction meeting on preparedness for yasangi season on 20-10-2023 at Rythuvedika, Moodapalli village of Chandurthi mandal in Rajanna Siricilla District. The programme was started with stalls exhibition inauguration and visit by the officials and farmers. Then the RAWEP students Miss. Neha and Miss. Akanksha welcomed dignitaries on to the dias and also welcomed the farmers to the programme and briefed about the main essence of the programme. Dr. K. Madan Mohan Reddy, Scientist (TOT) & Coordinator, Karimnagar has explained about the importance of RAWEP programme its objectives and activities taken up in the allotted villages and also explained the importance of Crop Diversification and briefed about the PJTSAU publications & Mobile apps for the benefit of farming community.
He also emphasized farmers to get subscribe PJTSAU You Tube channel for latest updates in agriculture technologies. He said that farmers can contact directly with the Toll free number 14426 or 1800 123 2175 for obtaining information on activities related to Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal husbandry and fisheries and given vote of thanks to all the officials and farmers for attending this programme. Dr. P. Madhukar Rao, Scientist (Agro.), ARS, Karimnagar has explained about the cultivation of ID crops in yasangi season. Dr. D. Sravani Scientist (Br.), ARS, Karimnagar has explained about the suitable crop varieties in yasangi season. Dr. M. Rajendraprasad, Scientist (CP) has explained the management of pest & diseases in major crops. Dr. Bhavya, Asistant Professor, Babu Jagjeevan Ram Agricultural College, Jillela has explained about the cultivation of vegetables in hydrophonics method. The chief guest of the Programme, Associate Dean, Babu Jagjeevan Ram Agricultural College, Jillela, Dr. Sridevi has explained the importance RAWE Programme for the students and thanked to the farmers who given accommodation for students and also thanked all the farmers who supported practical learning for students in the field. Dr. Priyadarshini, Principal representative and Dr. Sathish, Assistant Professor from BJR Agril. College, Jillela, Mandal Agricultural Officer Mr. Durgaraaju, Agricultural Extension Officers of chandurthi, vemulawada rural, Vemulawada urban and Rudrangi mandals in Rajanna Siricilla district and 120 farmers and 22 RAWEP Students were participated in the programme.
