Telangana Formation Day Decennial Celebrations was celebrated at Agricultural College, Adilabad on 02.06.2024. The programme started with garlanding the photo of Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar and other National leaders by Dr. Sreedhar Chauhan, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Adilabad, followed by floral tributes by Dr. M. Suresh, OISA & Assistant Professor and other non-teaching staff and students. Later, Associate Dean, Dr. Sreedhar Chauhan hoisted the National Flag and it was followed by playing of National Anthem and Telangana song. The Associate Dean, Dr. Sreedhar Chauhan addressed the gathering and focused on the efforts put forth by the Telangana people under the guidance of great leaders for achieving separate state. The address of Associate Dean also emphasized that achieving the state is not the end and every citizen in their respective capabilities should deliver their duties to strengthen the state in all respects. Later Dr. M. Suresh, OISA & Assistant professor, Agricultural College, Adilabad briefed the reason behind desire for separate state formation. The speaker also highlights the aspects related to allocation of Water, Budget and Recruitment of employees which were the main motto of separate state agitation. He explained the contribution of the major people who fought for the formation of Telangana and stressed that everyone should work for the development of the state and respect the sacrifice of the people. After this, three students, Non-teaching and out sourcing staff briefed about Telangana Formation Day and its importance. In honour of Telangana formation day decennial celebration literary events (Drawing & Essay writing competitions) were to the B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag., I year students held on 01.06.2024 and certificates were given to Winners and runners on 02.06.2024 after completion of speeches. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks presented by Officer Incharge of Student Affairs, Dr. M. Suresh, followed by serving of refreshments to the gathering.
