“Summer coaching camps for various sports provide very good opportunity to the students to hone their skills in respective games and learn from experts which may pave the way for a career in sports. It is also an opportunity to utilise holidays for purposeful activities and enrich oneself”, said Mr. Pankaj Kumar, ADM (E), Aligarh, while distributing certificates to the participants of Badminton, Volleyball and Table Tennis Summer Coaching Camp at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), organised by the Gymkhana Club, University Games Committee, under the G20 series of events and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
“It’s heartening to note that AMU organises coaching camps for various sports for the school students of Aligarh free of cost” added Mr. Kumar.
He along with Prof Amjad Ali Rizvi, Secretary, Games Committee, AMU and Dr Jameel Ahmad, President, Gymkhana Club distributed certificates to the students.
In the coaching camp more than 200 participants from different schools were thoroughly trained in badminton, volleyball and table tennis skills, said Dr. Jameel Ahmad.
Badminton Coach Khusrow Maroof proposed a vote of thanks.
Assistant Director Arshad Mahmood and others were present during the certificates distribution ceremony.
