KVK, Kampasagar in collaboration with ICAR-National Bureau of Soil Survey & Land Use Planning, Banglore conducted Awareness Programme on crop diversification and distributed vegetable seedlings to the farmers on 29.07.2024. During the training programme explained need and importance of Crop Diversification in present days and encouraged the farmers towards cultivation of different crops instead of monocropping of paddy. Scientists including Dr. Rammurthy, Dr. Ramesh, Dr. Charan from ICAR-NBSS&LUP along with Dr. S. Srinivas Rao, Programme coordinator, KVK Kampasagar, Dr. Chandrashekar, SMS (Crop Production) and P. Kiran Reddy ( young professional) and farmers (30no.) from different villages Viz., Anjanpally, Utkuru, and Duggepally of Nalgonda district participated in the programme. As a part of Crop Diversification Project distributed vegetable seedlings viz., chili, tomato, marigold, bottle gourd and pulse crop viz., Red gram, Green gram seeds to the farmers.
