Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University under All India Network Project on Vertebrate Pest Management, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad organized training programme cum inputs distribution to tribal farmers under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP). The centre has identified certain remote villages viz., Salveed thanda of Kulkaherla mandal in Vikarabad district. The tribal farmers in the identified village were cultivating different crops which were frequently damaged by wild animals. AINPVPM organized training programme cum inputs distribution to tribal farmers under Tribal Sub plan (TSP) at Salveed thanda of Kulkaherla mandal in Vikarabad district on 5.12.2024. Dr. P. Rajanikanth, Principal Scientist& Head briefed about the monkeys and wild boar management in different crops. He suggested farmers to follow the integrated approach to tackle the wild boar & monkeys menace in field and horticultural crops. Dr. V. Sunitha, Scientist, Dr.I.Aruna Sri, Scientist and Dr.S.Srinivas Reddy, Scientist, demonstrated the usage of solar based fencing, E-Cannon and Agri-canon guns. The farmers were also provided with Agri-canon guns, brochures and pamphlets.
