A five-day bakery and confectionery related training course was organized at PAU-Krishi Vigyan Kendra Fatehgarh Sahib from 5th to 9th August in which 40 trainees participated. Dr. Vipan Kumar Rampal Associate Director (Training) gave more information about this program and said that such training programs are the need of the hour. To increase the income of farmers and make farming more profitable, this skill needs to be adopted at the commercial level. During the training program Dr. Manisha Bhatia, Assistant Professor, Home Science, taught the students how to make cakes, muffins, chocolate, choco-chips, pizza base, bread and pizza using baking methods. Can provide your family with nutritious, unadulterated and chemical-free bakery products. During the training, the trainees were encouraged to take up this skill as a profession. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, District Pasar Expert (Senior Most), Farm Advisory Service Center, informed the learners about the importance and methods of keeping an account of their work. Mr. Puneet, District Industrial Centre, Fatehgarh Sahib, elaborated on the government schemes for starting light industries.
