On March 23rd, 2023, an input distribution program for SC farmers in the village of Valka Nana in the Kutch district of Gujarat was conducted under the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan Scheme of the Government of India. The program was organized and led by Dr. Sheetal K Radhakrishnan, Head I/c and member of the SCSP committee, Er. Abhishek Patel, Chairman of the SCSP committee, and Dr. Renjith P.S., member of the SCSP committee from ICAR-CAZRI, RRS, Kukma-Bhuj. A total of 50 SC farmers actively participated in the program. The program began with a welcome speech by Er. Abhishek Patel, who provided an overview of the SCSP and the ongoing activities under the scheme. He also explained the uses of various input materials. Papaya plants, Azolla, Improved Kassi, Secateurs, and tarpaulin were distributed to the participating farmers. Additionally, a short lecture was delivered to the farmers about millets, and a flyer about the International Year of Millets 2023 was distributed to raise awareness.
