About EDP
The ICAR-Central Institute for Arid Horticulture, Bikaner has developed protocols for bael pulp processing, preservation, storage and various value-added products development from pulp. During ample availability of fresh fruits, pulp can be extracted and stored for longer duration by employing proper methods. Fruit pulp is the basic product which can be marketed on business to business (B2B) mode and utilize as primary ingredient for further processing such as beverages (squash, RTS, juice, ice creams etc) and dehydrated pulp (bar). These products are popular among masses and can be marketed directly in retail to consumers (B to C) or even as business to business. An EDP will be held at ICAR- Central Institute for Arid Horticulture, Bikaner from 15- 17th May, 2024. The programme will include all relevant matters related to fruit pulp and its value-added products such as squash, ready to serve (RTS), ice-creams, powder and fruit bar. The programme will include both theoretical information in classroom and hands on practical training, where trainees will learn by doing every step of protocols. On successful completion of the training programme certificate will be provided to the participants.
