On the third anniversary of the new National Education Policy, a national seminar was organized at MPUAT on millets processing and employment opportunities. Immense possibilities of entrepreneurship and self-employment in processing and value addition of millets Dr. Karnataka Udaipur, 31 July 2023 Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology organized a seminar on the occasion of processing and employment of Miletus on the third anniversary of the new National Education Policy 2020. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, Assistant Director General of ICAR, Dr. S. Of. Sharma Dean Dr. Meenu Srivastava and subject expert Prof. Mukta Aggarwal were present. At the beginning of the program, Dr. Srivastava welcomed the dignitaries.

On this occasion, on the occasion of celebrating the third anniversary of the implementation of the new education policy and this year as the International Millet Year, the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Karnataka, in his address, said that entrepreneurship and self-employment should be encouraged in the processing of millets and marketing of value-added products. There is immense potential. He said that vocational education in the New Education Policy (NEP) will prepare the learners for jobs right from school education to higher education. Vocational training and agricultural education will include practical sessions, industry exposure and internships, prepare learners for a specific trade and upgrade their technical skills that are essential for employment.

He stressed on the inclusion of millet in the diet, he said that regular millet is considered very beneficial for strengthening the body’s immune system. Because they contain all the nutrients required to keep the body healthy i.e. nutrition is found in millet. Millets are helpful in preventing type-1 and type-2 diabetes. grains that are eaten today .That is negative grains (wheat, rice). Millets are very helpful in reducing body fat and reducing weight.

Is helpful. Bajra is rich in fiber and tryptophan (an amino acid). If millet is consumed in the main meal, it digests slowly due to fiber and tryptophan tings to activate Windows. Is. Due to which the stomach feels full for a long time, which avoids overeating. And helps in obesity or weight loss. The amount of fiber is found in millet more. ICAR ADG Dr. S. Of. Sharma informed that the new National Education Policy was approved by the Union Cabinet on 29 July 2020. This is India’s biggest educational reform after 34 years. The newly introduced education policy will replace the National Education Policy of India, 1986 in a planned and phased manner. To make India a global knowledge superpower, this new education policy is the biggest and talked about initiative of the Government of India. The vision of the new education policy is to provide an education system that transforms the country into a vibrant knowledge society in a sustainable manner and provides high quality education to all. National Education Policy Built on the fundamental pillars of Access, Equity, Quality, Affordability and Accountability, the New Education Policy aims to provide high quality universal education to students from all sections of the society. Curricular content in each subject will be reduced to its basic essentials, and greater emphasis will be placed on critical thinking and more holistic learning that will be inquiry-based, discovery-based, discussion-based and analysis-based learning. Students will be given more flexibility and choice of subjects to study. Students will be able to choose a group of subjects from different fields of study, a group may have subjects from science and humanities or commerce and humanities etc. Vocational and extra-curricular activities will be encouraged and students will be encouraged to participate in these co-curricular activities.
