ICAR-IVRI, Mukteswar organized the Workshop cum Animal Health Camp programme on 02-09-2023 at Darmoli village, Ramgarh block under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP). The theme of the workshop was “Quality fodder production”. On this occasion, Dr. Nidhi Sharma addressed farmers on the need of the propagating native perennial fodder trees around farmlands and village fallow lands, its impact on the dairy production and overall socioeconomic status of the hilly farmers. A total of 100 Bhimal (Grewia optiva), 100 Timla (Ficus auriculata), 100 Bhedu (Ficus palmata) fodder trees were distributed among 65 farmers of the Darmoli village. The same beneficiaries were also distributed medicine kits (65 doses) consisting of anti-parasitic drugs for end-ecto parasites and 150 Kgs of mineral mixture. Six animals were examined for the infertility (anestrus) and six animals were examined for the LSD and treatment was given. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Dr. Nitish Singh Kharayat Mukteswar and Dr. Gurav Amol Ramdas (Scientist’s IVRI, Mukteswar).
