Valedictory Function of In-Plant Training for Students of B. Tech. Agril. Engg. on “Soil and Water Conservation & Watershed Management” organized at ICAR-IISWC, RC, Koraput on August 31, 2023

One month training programme on Soil and Water Conservation and Watershed Management for B. Tech Agricultural Engineering students was organized from 1-31 August, 2023 by the ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation (IISWC), Research Centre, Koraput, Odisha. A total of 19 students from SVCAET, Raipur (CG) and BCAE, Durg (CG) registered in the progarmme. The valedictory session of the training programme was held on 31.08. 2023, where Dr. Ch J. Dash Course-coordinator welcomed all the Scientists, Technical, Administrative staffs and student trainees present in this occasion and summarized the overall training programme. All students presented their learning during the training programme followed by their experience sharing and feedback about the training programme conducted.  Speaking on this occasion, Dr Ramajayam Devarajan, Head of the Centre advised the students to make use of their experiential learning gained from the training programme. Addressing the students, Dr. S.K.Samal emphasized on the importance of soil conservation in maintaining eco-system services on sustainable basis. Dr S.K.Kar encouraged students for higher studies in the field of natural resource management, and also advised the participating students to expose themselves to practical aspects and successful models of different soil and water conservations measures in different agro-ecological zones of India. Dr. J.Lenka urged to harness the modern agricultural technology. Sh. G. W. Barla, STO & Coordinator presented the feedback & evaluation report. Sh G.B.Naik ,ACTO, Sh. Sunadhar Kindal, STA, Sh. Surender Kumar, STA, Sh. Pradeep Kumar (TA), Sh. Anjeet Kumar (TA), Dibakar Jena (TA) also imparted training and helped in successful organization of the progarmme. All the administrative staff extended their support by facilitating completing all the official formality for successful conducting the programme. The Programme comes to an end with vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
