5 October 2024 In the All India Farmers Fair and Industry Exhibition going on in the university, seeds of various Rabi crops are being sold from the stalls of various centers of the university. On the second day of the fair, till this afternoon, seeds of various Rabi crops worth about 60 lakh 50 thousand rupees were sold by Crop Research Center, Breeder Seed Production Center, University Farm and Attic. Apart from this, seeds and plants worth about 2 lakh 90 thousand rupees were sold from the stalls of Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Research Center, Adarsh ​​Pushp Vatika, Vegetable Research Center, Horticulture Research Center and Agro Forestry Research Center. Also, publications worth about 20 thousand rupees were sold from the stall of Directorate of Publications and Attic. Apart from these, various types of seeds and plants were also sold by various stalls of the private sector set up in the fair. During the fair, farmers participated in the auction of hybrid calves today at the Educational Livestock Farm. By the afternoon of the second day of the fair, more than 5 thousand farmers had registered themselves. Apart from this, about 2 thousand unregistered farmers are also expected to visit the fair. Vice Chancellor Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan has expressed happiness on seeing the interest of farmers in large numbers towards the Kisan Mela.

Under the special lecture series, farmers were told in detail and guided on the topics of animal diseases and their management and integrated fish farming is a boon for Uttarakhand. In the Kisan Goshthi held in Gandhi Hall, agricultural scientists answered and resolved the doubts of farmers related to crops, flowers, gardens, animal husbandry, natural farming. Under the special program, farmers were also taken on a tour of Mushroom Research and Training Center, N.E.B. Crop Research Center, Adarsh ​​Floriculture Center, Vegetable Research Center, Medicinal Plant Research and Development Center, Agro Forestry Research Center, Horticulture Research Center, Patharchatta, Treat Center, Bee Research and Training Center, Educational Fish Farm and Hatchery, Nagla, Educational Dairy Farm and Fodder Bank and Educational Poultry Farm, Nagla.
