A successful plantation drive was organized at the PAU- Regional Research Station in Ballowal Saunkhri, collaborating with the Department of Forest & Wildlife, Punjab. During the event, approximately 500 trees of 30 native species of Punjab were planted to create a mini-forest and a tree biodiversity park.
Dr. Manmohanjit Singh, Dean of PAU-College of Agriculture, Ballowal Saunkhri, highlighted the significance of such plantation efforts in combating climate change and beautifying the community. He noted that this plantation drive is part of the PAU Clean and Green Campus mission, guided by Dr S.S. He expressed gratitude to the Forest Department for providing the planting material and added that the diverse plant species would help students identify various tree plants.
