Pantnagar. 19 July 2024 | The University’s College of Technology organized a tree plantation program in all the seven hostels of the college and the college campus under the leadership of Dean Dr. Alaknanda Ashok under the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for environmental protection. The tree plantation program was started from Gaur Bhawan hostel, followed by tree plantation in Patel Bhawan, Silver Jubilee Bhawan, Vishwashverayya Bhawan, Mandakani Bhawan, Saraswati Bhawan and Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Bhawan hostel. The program was concluded with tree plantation in the college. During the program, the Dean told about the importance of trees and their effects on our lives and also motivated all the present faculty members and workers to plant more trees. Vice Chancellor Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan wished everyone on this occasion. Harela festival is being celebrated by every unit of the university.
The program was attended by all the department heads and faculty members along with the Dean of the college. Under the tree plantation, around 100 trees of Ashoka, Allamanda, Neem, Palash, Jamun etc. were planted.
