Objectives of the training
To enlighten the trainees about the scope of cultivation and value addition in medicinal and aromatic plants and demonstration of promising varieties and technologies.
Prospects of The Training
Expert lectures and demonstrations on diverse areas of medicinal plant-based ventures like cultivation, primary processing methods of selected herbs, essential oils and aromatherapy, herb based RTS beverages, value added products from waste material of medicinal plants, quality planting material and nursery management of medicinal plants etc.
Scope of Training
1. Medicinal and aromatic plants has got a great demand and potential in the global market increasing its scope of commercial cultivation for doubling farmers income.
2. Post harvest management ensures the plant materials meet required quality standards and ensures the raw materials meet appropriate identity and consumer/industry needs. 3. Value addition of MAPS into various products can provide ample opportunity for the urban and rural youth, self-help groups to take it as enterprise and generate income.
