Objectives of the training
• To impart the basic knowledge on the science of composting of kitchen wastes and farm residues
• To impart skills on different compost preparation and evaluation of compost maturity
• To sensitize the participants on the compost standards as per the requirements of the Fertilizer
Control Order (1985) for commercial production and marketing of composts
Prospects of the training
By acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills the trainees can either practice composting of kitchen wastes as a hobby or venture into commercial compost production
Scope of training
• The trainees would have learnt the science of composting of kitchen/ farm wastes and techno-legal aspects for staring a commercial composting enterprise
Who are eligible?
• All aspiring entrepreneurs including agricultural and horticultural graduates, diploma holders in horticulture, professionals, SHG women, homemakers & anybody interested to explore the world of composting to generate income and employment or as a gainful hobby.
