Objectives of the training
To sensitize the stakeholders on recent advances in production technology of guava
Prospects of the training
• Guava is the 5 important commercial fruit crop of the country
The crop is highly productive, remunerative and is amenable for year-round production through canopy management and sustainable production through GAP
•Highly nutritious fruit and increasing demand for value added products
Scope of training
The training will help to apprise the stakeholders on the good agricultural practices to be adopted in guava cultivation including improved varieties, water and nutrient management, canopy architecture, pest and disease management and value addition. The participants will get first-hand experience in quality planting material production including methods of propagation, training and crop regulation techniques in guava.
Who are eligible?
All aspiring farmers and entrepreneurs including agricultural and horticultural graduates, Diploma holders in horticulture, professional, SHG women, homemakers & anybody interested to explore the world of Fruit crop husbandry to generate income and employment or as hobby.
