The Skill Development Centre, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), conducted a monthly training camp for the women members of the PAU Kisan Club. As many as 75 rural women partcipated in the camp.

Food and nutrition experts Dr Monika Chaudhary and Dr Sehajbir Kaur demonstrated the making of thandiai, aam ka panna, and seasonal drinks using chukandar, cucumber and lemons. Dr Chaudhary promoted the use of the outer layer of seasonal fruits for blemish-free and glowing skin in summers.

Dr Rupinder Kaur, Associate Director (Skill Development), urged the rural women to bring in their own innovation in recipes and drinks as well as start their small-scale enterprises for additional benefits.

Dr Prerna Kapila, Course Coordinator, welcomed the trainees as well as the experts and presented the detailed programme of the skill development trainings.

Later, Mrs Kanwaljit Kaur proposed a vote of thanks.
