Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar Sir’s Jayanthi was celebrated at Regional Agricultural Research station, Palem on 6th August, 2024 to commemorate his 91st birth anniversary. The programme was started with garlanding the photo of Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar by Dr. M. Malla Reddy, Associate Director of Research. Later, all the teaching, non teaching and ministerial staff of RARS, DAATTC, APT and students of APT, Palem were offered the floral tributes to Prof. K. Jayashankar. While addressing the gathering Dr. M. Malla Reddy, ADR, detailed the contributions of Prof. Kothapalli Jayashankar to the Telangana state formation. Dr. D. Shashibushan, Pr. Scientist (Plant Breeding) has detailed about Prof. Jayashankar and his role in Telangana Movement and also told that, our university Professor Jayashankar Telangana states Agricultural University, named in honour and memory of Prof. Jayashankar. Further, highlighted that, all the staff should work hard and deliver their contributions for the better livelihood of farming community in the state.
