26 October 2024 | Poultry training and poultry distribution program was organized in village Khamaria today under the All India Coordinated Livestock Research Project – Frizwal funded by Central Cow Research Institute, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, Meerut in the university. This program was inaugurated by Dr. C.V. Singh, Head of Department, Animal Breeding Department. The Head of the Department encouraged all the farmers and project team members as well as highlighted the importance of poultry farming and housing arrangements.
During the program, Dr. C.B. Singh, Project Officer highlighted the objective of the project as well as the important points of successful backyard poultry farming. In the program, Dr. A.K. Ghosh, Dr. B.N. Shahi and Dr. Ripusudan Kumar highlighted various technical aspects of poultry farming, different species of poultry, brooding poultry nutrition and vaccination etc. During the training, 25 chicks and other materials (feed, medicine, grains and water pots) were distributed to each farmer. 20 farmers participated in the program. Registration of poultry farmers was done by Ms. Aradhana Phular and distribution of materials was done by Mr. Shivanshu Tiwari. The program was conducted by Project Officer Dr. Chandra Bhan Singh and vote of thanks was given by Dr. Ripusudan Kumar.
