Team of experts from PAU, Ludhiana comprising of Dr GPS Sodhi, Additional Director of Extension Education, Dr PPS Pannu, ADR (NR& PHM) and Dr CS Aulakh, Principal Agronomist, School of Organic farming visited the field of S. Narinder Singh of village Dittupur who has been into production of jaggery, shakkar, canola oil, till and turmeric for sale accompanied by Dr. Gurupdesh Kaur, Incharge, KVK Patiala along with Dr. Rajni Goel, Assoc. Prof. (FST), Dr. Rachna Singla, Prof. (Horticulture) and Dr. Gurnaz Singh Gill, Assistant Prof. (PFE), KVK, Patiala. The farmer is a trainee of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Patiala. The team appreciated the quality of his produce and lauded the packaging and marketing of his products. The team also visited his paddy fields where he showcased the improved soil fertility due to years of managing paddy residue in his fields. The team also inspected his fruit trees and vermicomposting unit. The farmer has been shortlisted for felicitation during Kisan Mela at PAU. The team had encouraging conversation with the farmer about various aspects of his enterprise and appreciated the efforts of the farmer to start his venture.
