PAU-FASC Sangrur organized kisan goshti at village Roshanwala, Sangrur today on 29.11.2024. Dr. Ashok Kumar, District Extension Scientist and In-charge of Farm Advisory Service Centre Sangrur guided the farmers regarding management of manganese deficiency in wheat through foliar spray in light textured soils in coming days. They were also acquainted with the management of pink stem borer if any and are advised to use urea at first and second irrigation only on the basis of soil test reports. Various quarries raised by the farmers like use of nano-urea, need of boron or sulfur fertilizers, management of Chitta and Kala Kallar, procedure of soil and water sampling, identification of manganese and zinc deficiency etc were answered. PAU literature was sold to the farmers. Potato and wheat crops fields at villages viz. Roshanwala, Phaguwala and Harkishanpura were also visited and no incidence of any pest and nutritional deficiency has been reported in any fields.
