KVK, Palem conducted a Visit to HDPS in cotton fields under special project at Velgonda (V), Bijinepally (M), Nagarkurnool (D) on 19.11.2024. A follow up visit to HDPS cotton fields was made by KVK, Palem where the farmers have adopted HDPS technology (90X15 cm) with RCH 929/97 hybrids. The crop is at 1st to 2nd picking & the fields are extremely good. Observed 14-16 bolls/ plant. Farmers have followed the optimum spacing and all the best practices. However, there was a variation in crop canopy/plant height due to the heavy rains in various fields. The expected yields are 10-12 q/acre and the farmers are positive towards the technology. In this visit Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme coordinator, Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (PP), KVK, Palem & and 17 farmers (Total participants: 20) were participated.
