Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized training programme on “HDPS Cotton” under special project on cotton, ICAR-CICR titled “Targeting technologies to agro-ecological zones-large scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton productivity” under NFSM 2023 at Upparapalli village of Kesamudram mandal dated 07.10.23. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) explained about, Project objectives & spread over in the district, Dr.G.Veeranna. Principal Scientist (Cotton) RARS, Warangal, Participated as chief guest and explained about selection of varities for HDPS cotton, sowing time, fertilizer management, time and dose of application of growth regulator, importance of high density cotton and major advantages with HDPS Cotton. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal explained about in our district and IPM Practices to be followed by Cotton farmers for Pink boll worm management need of HDPS Cotton, machine sowing through pneumatic planter and advantages with the pneumatic planter. Sri B.Kranthi Kumar SMS (Crop production) explained about, management practices like fertilizer, spacing and water management in both normal and HDPS Cotton. Sri. J. Laxmi Narayana, DAOi/c Mahabubabad, explained about crop coverage and present situation of different crops in the district, appealed to farmers to take up HDPS cotton next year onwards. In this programme Sri.K.Venkanna. MAO, Kesamudram, Sri.B.Suresh, AEO, Upparapalli cluster and Sri. V. Srinivas Reddy, Rythu samanvaya samithi, village coordinator and 128 farmers from different villages from Kesamudram mandal participated.
