Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized farmer training programme on “Management practices, measures to be taken during flowering and fruiting in Mango” at Rythuvedhika, Danthalapalli on 05-02-2024. In this programme, Dr. E. Rambabu, SMS (Horticulture) explained about water management, fertilizer management, correction of micronutrient deficiencies, flower and fruit drop control, pest & disease management in Mango with special emphasis on control of leaf hopper, thrips, powdery mildew, anthracnose and fruit fly followed by top working and rejuvenation of old mango orchards through power point presentation. Sri. Ch. Rakesh, Horticulture officer explained about management practices to be followed in the standing Oil Palm orchards as well as subsidy details in Oil Palm crop to the farmers.
Sri. G. Sateesh, Sales officer, Bayer crop sciences, Mahabubabad demonstrated wearing of protection apron kit to be used while spraying plant protection chemicals in fruit orchards. Later, queries raised by farmers on Mango flowering, fruiting and pest & diseases were answered by the expert. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension), Sri M. Deekshith Kumar, AEO, Danthalapalli, Sri S. Srikanth, Supervisor, Bayer Crop Science and 52 Mango growing farmers from Danthalapalli Mandal participated in the programme.
